Thelma and Louise Separate: When I Visited the Nuyorican Bar in February

Right now, the pile of photographs to go through and edit and find a use for them just keeps growing. The last images from the summer greet me every morning demanding some attention, but every time I have to prioritise and they stay in their folder, forgotten. I have just come back from my second trip to NYC, and it is rather unsettling that I have decided to go with these ones first. To be honest, they were supposed to go up yesterday, and jet lag and work/study had to take priority. Nevertheless, here are some images from the most wonderful artistic space I’ve ever been to: the Nuyorican bar. Last Tuesday, my friend Luisa and I went for some jazz and left with emotion, the Caribbean, and the passion of musicians in our hearts. I don’t know when I’ll go back to NYC, but the Nuyorican has just become one of my favourite places in the planet.
